H.E. COL (RTD) FRED MWESIGYE, OFFICIALLY BREAKS GROUND FOR ITS NEW CHANCERY BUILDING IN DODOMA

The Uganda High Commission, led by H.E. Col (Rtd) Fred Mwesigye, officially breaks ground for its new Chancery Building in Dodoma.

 

The event is graced by Guest of Honour Hon. Denis Londo, Deputy Minister for EAC, MOFA Tanzania. Also present are Hon. Rosemary S. Senyamule, Regional Commissioner of Dodoma. Hon. Fred Opolot, Deputy Chairperson, Foreign Affairs Committee, Parliament of Uganda alongside Hon Iren Mulonyi committee of Foreign Affairs in Parliament of Uganda

Ambassador Anne Katusiime, Consul General of the Uganda Consulate in Arusha, attended the opening of the East African Community (EAC) Finance and Administration Committee Meeting at the EAC Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. The meeting, which took place from February 26 to March 4, 2025, focused on reviewing the FY2024/25 budget and considering the FY2025/26 budget.

On February 22, 2025, the Uganda Consulate in Arusha, in partnership with the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon, hosted an energizing shake-up run in Moshi, bringing together runners from Uganda and Kenya. The event aimed to promote the highly anticipated Mt. Rwenzori Marathon, which will be officially launched on February 23rd during the three-day 23rd edition of the Kilimanjaro Marathon.

The Uganda Consulate in Arusha participated in the 17th Sectoral Council on Energy, Petroleum, and Mining at the East African Community (EAC) Headquarters in Arusha (10th to 14th February 2024). The meeting gathered key stakeholders to discuss regional energy, petroleum, and mining policies.The Ugandan delegation included officials from the Ministry of East African Community Affairs, Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Electricity Regulatory Authority, and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.

EUROPEAN UNION-EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY LAUNCH OF PROJECTS
