THE UGANDA DIASPORA CONVENTION
Consul General Amb. Anne Katusiime joined the Uganda Diaspora Convention, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held at Speke Resort Munyonyo from Dec 18-19, 2024. The event, themed "Diaspora for Socio-Economic Development," promotes investment, policy engagement, cultural exchange, and skills sharing. Excursions will follow on Dec 20-21. #UgandaDiaspora2024
KENYA’S JAMHURI DAY CELEBRATIONS AND COMMEMORATED THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF KENYAS DIPLOMATIC JOURNEY ON 11TH DECEMBER 2024
Mr. Malcolm Muzeire, Administrative Assistant, and Ms. Diana Acyaye, Accounts and Procurement Assistant, represented the Uganda Consulate in Arusha at Kenya’s Jamhuri Day celebrations and commemorated the 60th Anniversary of Kenya diplomatic journey on 11th December 2024.The event, hosted by the Kenyan Consulate, brought together the Kenyan diaspora from Arusha and Moshi, with Amb. Isaac Njenga, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Tanzania, as the Guest of Honour.

THE 45TH MEETING OF THE SECTORAL COUNCIL ON TRADE, INDUSTRY, FINANCE & INVESTMENT (11TH–15TH NOVEMBER 2024)
The 45th Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Trade, Industry, Finance & Investment (SCTIFI) concluded ON THE 15th of November 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania, with Uganda’s delegation demonstrating strong commitment to regional integration and cooperation.
The delegation was led by Hon. Wilson Mbadi, the State Minister of Trade, and supported by Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, Mr. Patrick Ocailap. Other key representatives included:
EABC CEOs-EAC SECRETARY GENERAL BREAKFAST MEETING
The Consul General Ambassador Anne Katusiime Kageye represented the Uganda Consulate in Arusha at the EABC CEOs-EAC Secretary General Breakfast Meeting, held on 5th November 2024 in Kampala Serena Hotel. This significant event is dedicated to strengtheningcompetitiveness within the EAC, addressing trade barriers, and unlocking opportunities for regional integration. It marks a crucial step forward for business growth in East Africa and highlights Uganda's pivotal role in this development.
SPIRITAN MISSIONARY SEMINARY CULTURAL DAY.
On November 2, 2024, the Uganda Consulate in Arusha, represented by Mr. Gilbert Bagarukayo secretary welfare of the Uganda Diaspora in Arusha, Mr Malcolm Muzeire, and Ms Diana Acaye, was honored to participate in the Spiritan Missionary Seminary Cultural Day. We proudly supported our students as they showcased Uganda’s rich culture through dance and traditional cuisine. Mr. Gilbert conveyed a message from Amb.

The Uganda Consulate in Arusha, led by Ambassador Anne Katusiime, alongside MEACA's Commissioner Naboth and Assistant Commissioner William Tayebwa, successfully wrapped up the 10th Sectoral Council Meeting on Environment, Climate Change, and Natural Resources. The ministerial session featured a comprehensive review and thoughtful deliberation on the report presented by the Permanent Secretaries.
